Three Mellon Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowships will be offered in the
Department of Art History and Archaeology, Columbia University, for
2009-2010. Specialization may be in any field of art history. In addition to conducting their own research, fellows teach Art Humanities: Masterpieces of Western Art, part of the Core Curriculum of Columbia College, or an equivalent course in African, Islamic, South Asian, or East Asian art. Awards are for two years, with a salary of $50,000. Send application letter, resume including teaching experience, three recommendations, table of contents and opening or closing sections of the dissertation (10 to 15 pages). Applicants should have been awarded the Ph.D. degree
in either 2007, 2008, or have a firm scheduled date of defense on or
before May 22, 2009.
