New Initiatives in Greek Art
Thanks to Professor Mylonopoulos' efforts, the Department of Art History and Archaeology has established an internship program for undergraduate and graduate students with the National Museum in Athens. Details about the application process, requirements, and funding will be announced in the early fall.
In addition, this fall Professor Mylonopoulos will be co-teaching a graduate seminar entitled Greek Emotions in Image and Text with Professor Angelos Chaniotis, a historian currently at All Souls College in Oxford who will be joining the faculty of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton on July 1, 2010. Professor Chaniotis is the director of an international project on emotions in ancient Greek culture, which is generously funded by the European Research Council.
