James Wood is the author of three books of criticism including his most recent work, How Fiction Works. He Is also the author of the novel The Book Against God, and is a staff writer at The New Yorker. He also worked on various publications including The New Republic, The Guardian, The Kenyon Review, The New York Review of Books and The London Review of Books.
