Throughout the many phases of my work to date, I continue to rely on the internal world for subject matter - dream-life, daydreams, pressing memories, all grounded in the world of sensation and emotion, rather than that of conscious statement or observation.

On the other side is love of materials; a kind of romance with paint and all its possibilities. Often the sensory pleasure of putting paint to surface takes over the original intent of the piece. This leads to a work of physical weight, as well as an informed study of both range and nuance one can achieve when under the spell of beautiful materials.
