In my paintings, I wish to continue my ongoing exploration of pure colors on a paint surface as a personal mode of interfacing with my own life force and my unspoken words, moods, feelings, and longings. Art making as an affirmation of life is for me an existential confirmation of joy-coupled with my own will to share with as many people as I can.

In my work, I often start with a representational image, which I then improvise upon in a manner that frees me to find my own voice. It's a view of art based on the Surrealist-Expressionist tradition, combined with the compositional 'plasticity' of the masters.
