About the Bach Society

:: Annual Concerto Competition ::

The Bach Society is pleased to announce the winners of the 2004 Concerto Competition! The following students will be playing their concertos in their entirety in this season's upcoming concerts:

Adolfo Caride & David DeArmond will be playing the Vivaldi Concerto in C
for 2 trumpets, RV 537 Saturday, January 31st, 2004 at the joint Harvard and Columbia Bach Society concert in St. Paul's Chapel.

Jennifer Kim
will be playing Bruch's violin concerto in G minor on March 6, 2004 in Miller Theater.

Emilie-Anne Gendron will be playing Henryk Wieniawski's Variation on an
Original Theme, op. 15 for violin in a late April concert at St. Paul's Chapel.

The Bach Society Orchestra holds an annual concerto competition in the fall for student soloists. The winner will perform at a Spring Concert with the Bach Society at St. Paul's Chapel.

Prospective soloists, please consider the following items:

Step 1) Please look at the size of our orchestra and see if the orchestration for your concerto is practically feasible.

Step 2) E-mail David Rosenmeyer to register!
