The Columbia Ballet Collaborative (CBC), founded in September
2007 by five professional ballet dancers enrolled at Columbia, is made up
of students from all four of the University's undergraduate colleges and
various graduate programs. CBC's mission is to combine movement
vocabulary with ideas we are coming into contact with at the University.

Featured in the New York Times, Dance Magazine, and TimeOut
NY, CBC combines creative energy with professional quality. The
members have danced with Boston Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Hamburg
Ballet, Washington Ballet, Dresden Ballet, Suzanne Farrell Ballet, Aspen
Santa Fe Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and Complexions Contemporary
Ballet, among others.

CBC holds a free weekly class at Barnard College as well as
workshops on repertory, partnering, and various movement forms. CBC
aims to emphasize the importance and continued relevance of dance in our
community and share dance with a growing audience. We invite artists of
other media in the University community to join with us in our artistic
endeavors.
