Description
To assist ongoing experiments in a Molecular Biology laboratory studying mechanisms and regulation of gene expression in the mammalian cell nucleus. Will conduct and work with recombinant DNA molecules, as well as synthesize, purify and analyze RNA products. Purification of proteins involved in mRNA transcription and processing from recombinant DNA sources will also be expected. Although major duties will be research related, the individual will also assist with maintenance of lab stocks and supplies.Qualifications Bachelors degree in Biology, Biochemistry or related field. Experience in Molecular Biology lab, especially with recombinant DNA methodologies. Additional experience with RNA or protein analysis desirable.
Salary Range $27,500-$30,000
