Student Handbook

We encourage all students to be academically rigorous in all their studies. Grades obtained in approved courses must be a C or higher to count toward the 30-point degree requirement. Repeated low performance in coursework may be grounds for academic probation.


GPA of 2.67 or higher calculated on all biology courses counted toward the 30-point requirement.

Q: I am not doing well in this particular course. Would the points count if I elect to take it Pass/Fail?
A: If the course in normally for letter grades, a P grade earns no points toward the degree. One cannot take the course again later for letter grade. Points with a Pass/Fail grade will not be used to calculate GPA.

Q: This course that I am interested in is only given in Pass/Fail.
