Anthony Barsotti
Graduate Student

Hi, my name is Tony Barsotti. I am from New Jersey, and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania (Spring 2005) in Philadelphia. As an undergraduate at Penn, I majored in biochemistry. I carried out research at The Wistar Institute, focusing on methods to measure human telomere length. This research has sparked my interest in the molecular mechanisms of aging and cancer pathways- and I am looking forward to investigating these areas of research at Columbia.

Outside of the world of research, I am interested in traveling, sports and music. Having spent four years in Philadelphia while attending Penn, I have grown to love living in cities. That being said, I am really looking forward to exploring the great urban expanse that is New York City.
