Danyi Wu
Graduate Student
My name is Danyi. I was born in China, but I grew up mainly in the United States. I recently received my BS in biological engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. During my undergraduate career, my research has primarily been focused on synthetic biology, particularly in manipulating cellular pathways in bacteria for increased production of industrial metabolites. I am intrigued by the world of molecular and cell biology. At Columbia, I would like direct these interests to study cancer biology.

In my free time, I enjoy dancing, reading, traveling, and following sports (go Giants!). New York City is a wonderfully diverse city that I am eager explore, from its theater to its cuisines to its museums! I am excited for new experiences at Columbia and in NYC!
