| Hi, my name is Feifan Zhang. I am from Nantong, a city on the east coast of China where the Changjiang River flows into the sea. I graduated from Nanjing University with a B.S. degree majoring in Biological Sciences and decided to further explore science in my PhD life.
In my undergraduate research I did some work in cancer gene expression which attracts me very much. Besides, I've been interested in the study of cancer biology and neuroscience since they are so full of mysteries. However with the great opportunity and flexibility that Columbia offers, I would like to take advantage of the lab rotations to find out my true interest.
In my spare time, I would like to read some books. My favorite book is " The
Dream of Red Mansion". I also enjoy listening to some music and make some
paper flowers by myself. I love the sunshine and I often go out with my cute
dog fanfan when I'm at home.
