I am currently a graduate student in the Firestein Lab in the Department of Biological Sciences at Columbia University. Much of my work in lab has been to study the olfactory bulb of mice, integrating behavioral, neurophysiological and cellular measurements to understand its function. Specifically, my work focuses on the function of adult neurogenesis in the granule cell population. Granule cells are lots of fun to study since there are multiple plausible functions for them in their circuit, and nothing has really been ruled out. In the real world, I try to obsess over things besides granule cells - like the true of my wheel, the taste of my beer, or the Minnesota Twins.
