 | I grew up in Monopoli, a sunny coast town in the south of Italy, then I moved to Pisa in order to get my Bachelor and Master degrees. In Pisa I have been working for few months in the field of the metabolism of purines and for one year in the DNA replication field.
My interests in both biochemistry and molecular biology are motivated by scientific eagerness and humanitarian reasons. I love doing research in basic biology fields thinking that, one day, this could contribute to find new applications for therapies.
Outside the lab, I enjoy listening to music and learning to play it. I also love practicing sports, soccer above all, and hanging out with friends. I am sure that New York city will be the best possible place to combine excellent research with my desire to understand different cultures and expand my horizons.
