 | I grew up in Fort Wayne, IN, and went to college at UPenn in Philadelphia. I became interested in neuroscience there while working in a lab studying drug addiction. Since graduation in 2001, I have moved to NYC where I worked at Rockefeller University studying the role new neurons play in the vocal learning of song birds. At Columbia, I plan to continue to study the involvement of neurogenesis in learning and its potential for brain repair. I also enjoy playing soccer and tennis, traveling, watching movies, and hanging out with friends. And if I ever had time (or made time), I'd like to do more art work. |
