I grew up in New Jersey and earned a bachelor's degree at
Northwestern University in Chicago. I majored in Biological Sciences with a
concentration in Evolutionary and Developmental Biology (EvoDevo), and took a
particular interest in evolutionary processes, computer modelling and systems
biology.
In Chicago, I worked at the Field Museum of Natural
History, studying the life history traits and reproductive strategies of a
unique group of murine rodents endemic to the Philippines. At Northwestern, I
investigated the interaction between two copper transport proteins in the yeast
copper transport pathway.
My interests include craft beer, anthropology, science
fiction and improv comedy. I have a healthy obsession with Charles Darwin. I am
trying to learn how to cook, and I am excited to explore NYC.
