US Amgen Scholars Alumni Travel Awards The awards were first offered in spring 2011 to encourage professional networking opportunities for program alumni focused on scientific careers. In the past year, award recipients have presented at conferences in a wide variety of destinations in the US and abroad, including Barcelona, Hong Kong, Seattle, Paris, Kyoto, and Washington, DC. Alumni meeting the following eligibility guidelines are invited to apply: • Must be an alumnus/a of the U.S. Amgen Scholars Program The Amgen Scholars U.S. Alumni Travel Awards are intended to provide partial support of up to $1,500 for national or international conference expenses. Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and application deadlines to be considered. Funding for these travel awards is available through the generous support of the Amgen Foundation. The deadline for submitting all application materials is Friday, August 31, 2012.
