Editorial Internship with the Life Sciences Textbook Division at W. W. Norton & Co.:The life sciences department at W. W. Norton & Co., a leading publisher of college-level textbooks, is looking for a junior or senior undergraduate student studying science with an interest in educational publishing. Applicants should be interested in applying their knowledge of biology, microbiology, evolution, and/or biochemistry to analyze trends in undergraduate science textbooks. Other duties will include assisting with manuscript preparation, book review programs, and market research. Ideal candidates will be organized, detail-oriented, independent workers with strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as a demonstrated ability to apply factual knowledge to analysis of varied situations.
Interns will be paid $7.25/hour for up to 20 hours per week. Specific work hours are flexible, but interns usually work two to four days per week. Juniors, seniors, and recent graduates preferred. If interested, please send cover letter and résumé as an email attachment to Cait Callahan (
