Webmaster – The webmaster’s main responsibility will be continuously update Blue Key Society’s website. We receive funding for the group by posting ads on our website and we receive information on new ads on a rolling base. As soon as information on a new ad is received the webmaster should update the website to include the new ads. Knowledge of using the Columbia web server is absolutely crucial and necessary. This is a paid position that needs at least weekly attention to keep Blue Key Society’s website up to date.

Treasurer – The Treasurer of Blue Key will be held accountable for keeping a constant check on our budget. This means, every time we need to fill out e-forms to buy snacks for meetings or events, it will be the treasurer’s responsibility to take care of all the paper work. The Treasurer will have to go through Treasurer training in the beginning of every semester.

Head of Philanthropy – The Blue Key Society does an exceptional amount of outreach work that requires us to interact with many different organizations and individuals both from within the Columbia community and the larger community of New York City. The Head of Philanthropy will be our go to person to have constant contact with these different individuals and organizations and bring back any relevant information back to the group.

Event Coordinator – The Blue Key Society holds many different events through the academic year and our main large event being the Yule Log Ceremony (in contingent with the Tree Lighting Ceremony). Organizing and preparing for the Yule Log Ceremony is a semester long process with separate meetings specifically for the ceremony. The event coordinator is expected to attend these weekly meetings (a long with a co-president), take minute by minute notes for the rest of the group, report back to the group everything that was discussed in the meeting and distribute tasks for the rest of the group members to make the Yule Log Ceremony a reality.
