| Course Description | Prerequisites: High school algebra and geometry. Designed as an introduction to more advanced work for students with little background in chemistry or weak problem-solving skills. Students who receive a D in Chemistry 2001x may subsequently take CHEM BC1002y without forfeiting credit for 2001x. Does not count toward laboratory science general education requirement. Permission of instructor. Enrollment limited to 30. Lecture: MWF 11:00-11:50. Introduction to the fundamental concepts of chemistry from an electronic and molecular perspective as well as the macroscopic behavior of matter. |
