Course Description Major texts of the Renaissance both south and north of the Alps, including those of Petrarch, Valla, Machiavelli, Castiglione, Erasmus, Thomas More, and Montaigne, with special emphasis on diverse style of early modern writing and the habits of reading they encouraged.
