Course Description Prerequisites: Econ BC3035 or Econ BC3033 (or their equivalents), or permission of the instructor. An introduction to the transformative economic developments that began in Western Europe and spread globally. This course applies economic and empirical reasoning to analyze the industrial revolution, its underlying causes and consequences, from pre-modern times to the 20th-century emergence of a global economy.
