| Course Description | Prerequisites: This course is a prerequisite for student teaching in secondary schools; grade of B or better required to continue. Corequisites: This course should be taken in the spring term of the junior year with corequisite EDUC BC2055. Open to Education Program applicants; others only with permission of instructor. Prospective teachers explore methods for teaching English, social studies, the sciences (biology, physics, earth science and chemistry), mathematics, ancient and foreign languages (Grades 7-12). Topics include multicultural, critical pedagogical methods appropriate to specific content areas, content area standards and literacy, diversity, inclusion, and assessment. |
