Course Description Prerequisites: (ELEN E3701) or equivalent. Digital communications for both point-to-point and switched applications is further developed. Optimum receiver structures and transmitter signal shaping for both binary and M-ary signal transmission. An introduction to block codes and convolutional codes, with application to space communications.
