Course Description | This discussion-based seminar will focus on German Romanticism. It is open to seniors and other advanced undergraduate students who have taken the Introduction to German literature or an equivalent class. Readings include texts by Ludwig Tieck, E.T.A. Hoffmann, Bettine von Arnim, Clemens Brentano, Achim von Arnim, Justinus Kerner, Edgar Allan Poe, and others. Readings and class discussions will be in German. |
