Discussions revolve around German authors’ critical and creative responses to the photographic image and its aesthetic, documentary or mnemonic appeal to 20th-century storytellers. Readings include major figures such as Kafka, Rilke, Benjamin, Brecht, Mann, Maron, Sebald, and Wolf. |
