Course Description This lecture course examines the history of Vietnam in the World. This course explores how war – ranging from civil, imperial, global, decolonization, and superpower interventions – have shaped the course of modern Vietnamese history and its interaction with the wider world. Participation in weekly discussion sections, which will begin no later than the third week of classes, is mandatory.
