Course Description The goal of this course is to provide students with the computing tools that are necessary for data and business analytics. Students will be introduced to the basics of the Python programming language with special emphasis on the data analysis and visualization libraries available in the language (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, bokeh). They will learn the basics skills for gathering and processing data for analytical exercises using APIs, SQL, and by deconstructing JSON data objects, and will also gain basic familiarity with data manipulation using the Unix shell.
