Course Description Parabolic flows have become a central tool in differential geometry in recent years. One of the main problems is to understand the formation of singularities. In this course, I will give an introduction to the subject, starting with the simplest example of the curve shortening flow in the plane. We will then discuss the main a-priori estimates for mean curvature flow in higher dimensions, such as the convexity estimate, the cylindrical estimate, and the pointwise gradient estimate. Finally, we plan to present recent results concerning singularity formation for fully nonlinear curvature flows.
