Course Description Prerequisites: MDES W1613 or the instructor's permission. The course introduces students to the riches of the classical Hindi tradition. We read bhakti and Sufi literature in tandem, with a special interest in Tulsidas and the Indo-Islamic romance. (Since the content changes each term, the course may be repeated for credit.)
