Course Description Prerequisites: (MSAE E3011) or MSAE E3011 or equivalent or instructors permission. A course on synthesis and processing of engineering materials. Established and novel methods to produce all types of materials (including metals, semiconductors, ceramics, polymers, and composites). Fundamental and applied topics relevant to optimizing the microstructure of the materials with desired properties. Synthesis and processing of bulk, thin-film, and nano materials for various mechanical and electronic applications.
