|Course Description||This 16 week course during the first semester of the DPT curriculum provides students with a theoretical basis for understanding the body's physiological responses to exercise. Emphasis will be placed upon the practical application of exercise physiology principles in physical therapy practice. This course is designed to provide an integrative view of human exercise physiology. This class will cover the acute and chronic adaptations to exercise including the cardiovascular, respiratory, neuromuscular and metabolic systems in relation to acute and chronic exercise.|
