Course Description Prerequisites: PSYC BC1001 or PSYC UN1001 or BIOL BC1001 or BIOL BC1002 or BIOL BC1500 or BIOL BC1502 This class will explore the topic of addiction at multiple levels, from how drugs affect neurons to how drugs affect society. The course will also cover addictive behaviors that do not appear to have a pharmacological foundation, including pathological gambling, compulsive buying, hypersexual behavior, food addiction, and internet addiction.
