Course Description | Prerequisites: PSYC BC1001. An introduction to the field of clinical psychology aimed at 1) becoming familiar with professional issues in the field and 2) comparing therapeutic approaches for their utility and efficacy. Therapeutic approaches covered include psychodynamic therapies, cognitive behavior therapies, family/child therapies. The course will critically examine a variety of professional issues including ethical dilemmas, clinical assessment and diagnosis, and use of technology in therapy. |
