Course Description | Prerequisites: Enrollment limited to 16 students. Course surveys the wide range of genres and categories addressed by the practice of modern "performance studies"; it introduces a number of performance practices, as well as relevant interdisciplinary methodologies. Students consider live performances as well as a number of mediated works, learning to think critically and creatively about the relation between text, technology, and the body. Course fulfills the Theatre/Drama and Theatre Arts major requirement in Drama, Theatre, Theory. |
