Most prerecruiting presentations are held on the Columbia campus. After reserving a date on the Career Services master calendar, all details for campus events in buildings other than classrooms must be arranged with the site managers at these locations. (See the Campus Map.) On Thursday evenings or Fridays, it is possible to host a presentation at your office or other space of your choice. To avoid scheduling conflicts, please clear your date and time with us.

The Casa Italiana (home to the Italian Academy for Advanced Studies in America) is a Renaissanceinspired building, one of three New York City landmarks on the Columbia campus. It was designed by McKim, Mead & White and built in 1926. In 1991, the building underwent a $17 million renovation.

The centerpiece of the Casa Italiana is the magnificent second-floor Teatro, a grand space with large windows, an adjacent terrace, a high, ornately coffered ceiling, and sound and lighting equipment. Smaller spaces are also available for use.

Columbia Business School Classrooms
Columbia Business School classes are held in two buildings on campus. Because the buildings are used primarily for academic purposes, access to a designated classroom ahead of the confirmed time may be limited. Very few prerecruiting presentations are scheduled in classrooms. If you offer a prerecruiting program in a classroom and wish it to include lunch or a reception, you must engage an outside caterer. Special arrangements must be made if you wish to send any literature or materials ahead for distribution at an event in the classroom buildings. Since storage areas in our buildings are limited, please do not ship any items without prior instructions for correct delivery. During the prerecruiting season, Judy Kostin, (212) 854-6072, can discuss possibilities for holding prerecruiting presentations in classrooms on the dates listed in the Recruiting Calendar.
