7 Monday Labor Day. University holiday.
9 Wednesday First day of classes.
11; 14-18 Friday; Monday-Friday Course add/drop period via touch-tone telephone.
18 Friday Last day to (1) register for credit and (2) change programs. No adjustment of fees for individual courses dropped after this date.
29 Tuesday Final day to drop first six-week course without the permission of the Office of Student Affairs (no refund).
 
O C T O B E R
20 Tuesday Last class for first six-week course
21 Wednesday Award of October degrees and certificates.
23 Friday Final exam for first six-week course.
27 Monday First class for second six-week course.
30 Friday No course (with the exception of the second six-week course) may be dropped after after this date without the permission of the Office of Student Affairs (no refund for individual courses dropped).

2 Monday Academic holiday.
3 Tuesday Election Day. University holiday.
13; 16,17 Friday; Monday,Tuesday. TENTATIVE Registration for Spring Term 1999 via touch-tone telephone

The Recognition Ceremony for February 1999 graduates will be held during during the last week of classes
