2/5/09 - PERFORMANCE at Glass House Rocks! We were given enough time to do several performances and maybe even a small class. Keep en eye on your emails for details.

1/2/08 - New spring schedule.
12/20/08 - End-of-year roda! The last roda for the year will be in Newark on Saturday the 20th. With afterparty, of course!
12/19/08 - Last Columbia roda for the year! Classes will resume in early January.
12/10/08 - Come help Simpatia teach Capoeira in East Harlem! 3:30pm on 104th st and 1st ave.
11/26/08-11/28/08 - No classes on Wed 26th, Thurs 27th, and Fri 28th due to Thanksgiving. Classes resume Monday, Dec 1st.

11/23/08 - NEWARK BATIZADO! - Capoeira Guerreiros in Newark are having a batizado and we should all be there. $25 at the door (or beforehand to Flavia). Featuring workshops by mestres Lobao and Panao. For more info look to the Newark website.
11/5/08 - New schedule starts today! Classes will be a limited schedule for the month of November, then revert to a normal schedule afterwards.
11/3/08-11/4/08 - There are no classes this upcoming Monday or Tuesday because of the academic holiday (aka all buildings are closed).
10/24/08 - Performance in Lerner. We go on around 9:30 or so, so we can all head there together after the roda.
9/30/08 - Handstand class with Molly! This will be 7-9 (so, instead of Mark's class). This is a fantastic class to work on handstands and generally be comfortable upside down, and is for all skill levels. Excellent class for those of us (I include myself) who have no ability to do a handstand.
9/15/08 - Starting Monday we are switching to our Fall Schedule.

5/5/08 - Congrats to everyone who graduated this past weekend! Since the semester is winding down, I'd like to remind everyone that the class schedule will remain as is.

Open Roda: entrance fee+$15(incl. t-shirt)
All tickets will be onsale at Lerner box office. Anyone who has already paid for the batizado can pick up their tickets (free) at the box office.

4/20/08 - Fundraising party at Galapagos! Doors open at 7, and the show will start around an hour later, with music, capoeira, and FIREDANCING, and the place is open all night. 21 and up to get in (unless you're performing and email samiamfoto@gmail.com ahead of time), $10 cover. 4/5/08 - Performance at International House for the All Nations event! This was an excellent show last year (see youtube video). We're on from 11-11:30pm, so let's meet in the lobby of IHouse at 10 (122nd st and riverside). **Note: We need a roster of performers so we can get in. If you havent filled out a waiver for this year, then please tell me to add you to the roster

9/17/07 - SCHEDULE CHANGES!!! Starting Monday the 17th, we're going to change up our schedule. We're now having classes Monday-Friday. Hoooray for more capoeira!
9/7/07 - Friday the 7th is Activities Day on campus for 12 to 4. Please come for a little bit to help explain/show/demonstrate/sing capoeira! This is a big day to get new students, and the more people there the more interesting it is. Bring instruments and whatever clothes you'd like to play in

3/31/07 - SHOW TONIGHT!!! - We've been asked to perform for the International House's All Nations Celebration. We have 15 mins, performers get in for free, and we're welcome to stay for the party that lasts the rest of the night. We go on at 11:30, and they want us there by 10:30. 3/13/07 - I'm trying to throw together a basic website for us, and I'm learning how to as I go - hence the less than outstanding quality. If anyone knows how to put together a website and would like to volunteer to help out, that would be amazing.
