Each year members of the Columbia College Alumni community and the
Columbia College senior class contribute toward the Senior Fund.
Donations of any dollar amount starting at $3 are an essential demonstration
of our support for Columbia, the Core Curriculum, Financial Aid,
Student Services, and Dean Quigley's Initiatives. Every student
in the college receives financial aid in the form of subsidies,
and approximately 40% receive a financial aid package. However,
in order to be a contender in the Ivy League and to uphold our strong
belief in need-blind admissions, Columbia must move towards a grant
based financial aid system through the full support of its students
and alumni.
Whatever
we have found here at Columbia, be it our professions, passions,
mentors or friends, all of it was made possible by gifts from our
predecessors who have given generously to Columbia. Our contributions
to the Columbia College Class of 2004 Senior Fund signify the continuation
of this tradition of generosity. This is the beginning of a lifelong
relationship with our classmates and our alma mater!
The
Class of 2003 had a giving rate of 71% shattering the previous record
of 52%. It's our turn now - we want to hit 75%! Show Columbia that
the class of 2004 cares and donate to the senior fund!
Members
of the Senior Fund Committee will be coming to find you during the
year, so if you don't feel comfortable giving online, watch out
for them at all the senior events! For a $10 donation you will receive
a free pint glass commemorating Columbia College’s 250th Anniversary
as well as our final year at Columbia. You'll be able to give in
cash, check, credit card, or flex dollars!
