TUTORS AND TRANSLATORS
OFFICE ASSISTANTS
ASSISTANT MANAGER
MANAGER
TUTORS AND TRANSLATORS
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Sufficient knowledge of a foreign language (for translators) to be able to translate with no problems any text of medium difficulty. Sufficient knowledge of tutoring subject to be able to tutor with no problems at the undergraduate level. Completely fill-out application forms and submit required documentation (tax forms, certification, resume, letter of recommendation)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Tutors: contact clients in 24 hours after receipt of client’s information and report to CUTTA outcome of conversation
• Bring in signed timesheets every two weeks for payroll processing
• Report to CUTTA any changes that the client or tutor requires
• Translators: once assigned a job to finish in the provided timeline
• If job is to difficult or translator doesn’t have enough time to complete it, they must report to CUTTA immediately so that CUTTA can find another translator
• Be available to notarize translated documents
• Report to office assistants/assistant manager
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

OFFICE ASSISTANTS
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have excellent phone skills; be organized and reliable, and able to work independently.
Foreign language knowledge a plus. Be available between the hours of 10-4 weekdays.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Answer/return phone calls
• Reply/send emails
• Send faxes, make copies
• Comply with CUTTA operating policies
• Keep track of the jobs until they are finished
• Maintain, process, and/or update files, records, and/or other documents
• Ensure that tutors/translators applications are complete and add them to databases in a timely fashion
• Answer to tutors/translators common questions; report more difficult problems to assistant manager.
• Report ordering needs in a timely fashion to assistant manager and manager
• Supervised by assistant manager
• Report to manager
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
• Typing, computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good oral and writing articulation skills.
• Systematic and organized
• Able to deal with high volume of phone calls and emails
• Data entry and general office duties (emailing, faxing, copying)
• Knowledge on using email programs, searching and updating a database
• Efficient communication with colleagues and managers
• Flexibility and dealing with urgent and short-notice situations

ASSISTANT MANAGER
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
At least one semester of being office assistant (meets office assistant requirements).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Overlooks hiring of tutors/translators
• Implicated in hiring/training of office assistants
• Ensures that operation hours are covered throughout the week; can work as an office assistant if needed
• Ensures that record-keeping (databases) is accurate and up-to-date
• Meets regularly with office assistants to update latest problems
• Responsible for payroll
• Responsible for credit card charges and deposits
• Implicated in advertising strategies and implementation
• Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient
• Responsible for implementation of strategies to improve customer service
• Ensures that supplies are not running low
• Orders supplies as needed
• May determine or assist in determining discounts or flat fees for custom jobs
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Systematic and organized
• Efficient communication with colleagues and managers
• Flexibility and dealing with urgent and short-notice situations
• Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
• Knowledge of internal operational policies

MANAGER
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Successfully passes application process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Hires and trains office assistants, assistant manager
• Responsible for supervising payroll
• Responsible for invoicing
• Responsible for bookkeeping
• Responsible for website maintenance,
• Determines discounts or flat fees for custom jobs
• Responsible for marketing research,
• Responsible for advertising strategies and implementation
• Responsible for developing strategies to improve customer service
• Meets regularly with assistant manager
• Meets regularly with director of Student Enterprises
• Orders supplies as needed
