Eleanor Stein
Hello! You already know my name, but I have been involved with student council since 10th grade and LOVE IT. My goal is to make CCSC an approachable and easily available resource for all freshman. I want everyone to know that there is a place you can go if you have a suggestion, complaint or idea you want to be addressed and dealt with (e.g. if you want to start a Mario Party Club, but you just aren’t sure how to do it). I don’t want student council to seem like a high-and-mighty governing body but rather an easily approachable bunch of students that act as liaisons. I want everyone to get involved with Columbia and enjoy their time here as much as possible. And in order to do so, my goal as representative is to facilitate the workings between student council and the student body. And to make it easy for students to get involved, I add humour, light heartedness and occasional TV references to everything I do to prove that I am a real person, not a robot, and that you shouldn’t be afraid to approach me about any ideas you have.
