Alex Jasiulek (Jazz-you-lick) –Candidate for President
Alex Jasiulek is from Oakland, California. At Columbia University, Alex hopes to double major in political science and history while pursuing other extra-curricular and social endeavors. Foremost, Alex holds a deep-seated interest in improving the lives of his peers through the direct application of his leadership experience. Alex Jasiulek was Senior Class President as well as Debate Club President and an active member in Mock Trial and poetry competitions, which have given Alex an appreciation for public speaking and being active in the lives of his peers. Always willing to help and work with differing opinions, Alex asks for your vote and pledges to help make the Class of 2013 make an IMPACT on the college campus before our graduation. In his spare time, Alex loves going to the movies with friends and eating tasty food.

Karishma Habbu
Karishma Habbu – Candidate for Vice President
Karishma Habbu hails from the sunny state of Florida and plans to major in Neuroscience and Behavior. She’s running for Vice President of the Freshman class as a proud member of the Impact Party! Karishma has been the leader of several key organizations of campus including captain of her Cross Country team, Co-Founder and President of the Diversity Council and Leader of the School Environmental Club. She’s organized several key events including a state wide electronic recycling initiative and a school wide multicultural fair. As a Freshman on the Columbia campus, Karishma is interested in Ultimate Frisbee, CUbhangra and of course, Student Council! Her favorite ice cream flavor is Java Chip and her favorite band is Metric. So far Karishma loves every moment of being a Columbian and can’t wait to help serve the community in a bigger and better way.

Constance Boozer
Constance Boozer – Candidate for Representative
Constance Boozer is from Jackson, Mississippi. A first-year student in the college, Constance hopes to pursue a major in political science. Constance has five years of student council experience from high school. In addition, she was the president of her Forensics team as well as the debate chair. The summer preceding her senior year, Constance attended Mississippi Governor’s School where she was elected the president of her class. In addition, she was team captain of her high school Mock Trial team, president of the Earth Team, and vice-president of her school’s Latin Club. At Columbia, Constance now serves as a lunch coordinator for the Office of Undergraduate Recruitment. She is interested in being involved in Young Democrats, the Roosevelt Institute, and Habitat for Humanity. Constance’s favorite band is Vampire Weekend, and she eagerly anticipates the release of their new album Contra in January.
