University Commencement 2008 will be held on May 21, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. on Morningside Campus. All degree candidates for May 2008, and graduates from February 2008 and October 2007 from all Columbia schools and affiliates are invited to participate.

Columbia University will confer seven honorary degrees and one Medal for Excellence at Commencement. Recipients include a contributor to the Human Genome Project, a trailblazing female engineer, and the president of Barnard College, as well as other historians, scientists and professionals who stand out in their fields.
