Dominic Boyer, Rice University


Dominic Boyer is Associate Professor of Anthropology at Rice University. He is the author of two books, Spirit and System (Chicago, 2005) and Understanding Media (Prickly Paradigm, 2007) and currently writing a third, The Life Informatic, on the transformation of news journalism in the era of digital information. He has long been interested in intersections of knowledge and media and his most current research concerns sustainable energy and energopolitics in Latin America, Europe, and North America.
