Awards Go to Four Faculty Members
Professors Eisenthal, Parkin, Nakanishi, and Breslow recently received awards for outstanding contributions to research in chemistry:


Professor Kenneth Eisenthal has won the Joel Henry Hildrebrand Award in the Theoretical and Experimental Chemistry of Liquids given by the American Chemical Society. He is the second Department faculty member to win this award; Professor Bruce Berne was the awardee in 2002.






Professor Gerard Parkin has won the Organometallic Chemistry Award of the Royal Society of Chemistry.









Professor Koji Nakanishi has won the 2004 Tetrahedron Prize for Creativity in Organic Chemistry from the American Chemical Society.

 Professor Ronald Breslow has been awarded the Othmer Gold Medal of the Chemical Heritage Foundation. The medal is given for "...multi-faceted contributions to our common chemical heritage." The Chemical Heritage Foundation is an international federation of 29 scientific and scientifically-oriented societies. The award will be presented in May 2006.
