

Established in 1983, The
ACS Award in Organometallic Chemistry annually recognizes a researcher who
has shown outstanding work in the preparation, properties, reactions, or
structure of organometallic substances. The award consists of a certificate,
$5,000, and travel expenses to the meeting at which the award will be

The Arthur C. Cope
Scholar Awards were established in 1984 to recognize and encourage
excellence in organic chemistry. They are administered by the ACS and supported
by income from the Arthur C. Cope Foundation. The award consists of a
certificate, $5,000, a $40,000 unrestricted research grant, and travel expenses
to the ACS fall national meeting. The recipient may also be invited to make a

The Beckman Young
Investigators (BYI) Program, which is administered by the Arnold and Mabel
Beckman Foundation, provides research support to promising young faculty
members in the early stages of their careers in the chemical and life sciences.
Projects are normally funded for three years with grants in the range of
