Professor Angelo Cacciuto Joins the Department of Chemistry
The department is pleased to announce that Dr. Angelo Cacciuto has joined our faculty as Assistant Professor of Chemistry. Dr. Cacciuto’s research interests are in developing a theoretical understanding of problems in physical, material, biological, and chemical systems. Some of his projects have addressed the properties of cytoskeletal networks, the structure of lipid bilayers, the physics of complex fluids, the physics of disordered systems, and the problems of nanoparticle self assembly. Dr. Cacciuto recently completed postdoctoral research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he worked on problems associated with the electrostatic interaction in polymers and colloids.
