NSF CAREER Award to Professor Luis Campos

Congratulations to chemistry Professor Luis Campos on receiving a 2013 CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation for his research on "Molecular Engineering of Charge Transfer in Polymeric Materials." Professor Campos will receive funding for five years to focus on the development of photoactive heterogeneous side-chain block copolymers. The purpose is to control the morphology of heterogeneous hierarchical structures and understand their photophysics. The research aims to elucidate the function of organic materials in artificial photosynthesis and solar energy generation - a challenge that encompasses length scales ranging from molecules to nanostructures and large-scale devices

You can learn more about research in the Campos group on their group website . Information about the NSF CAREER Award program is available on the NSF website
