Congratulations to graduate student, Mingji Dai, on receiving an Excellence in Chemistry Award from Hoffman-LaRoche pharmaceutical company. Mingji, who is currently finishing his doctoral degree in Professor Danishefsky's group, is one of just 12 outstanding Ph.D. students honored by Roche for research accomplishments in the field of organic chemistry. The award follows a rigorous selection process in which more than 45 faculty members at prominent universities across the U.S. were asked to make recommendations. The winners participated in Roche's annual two-day chemistry symposium, and each also received a crystal award and an honorarium.
