Professor David Reichman has been awarded The Raymond & Beverly Sackler Prize in the Physical Sciences, along with his colleagues (Christoph Dellago, University of Vienna, and Christopher, Jarzynski, Los Alamos National Laboratory) for their ground breaking developments in statistical mechanics and seminal contributions to the dynamics of disordered condensed matter. The prize was awarded to the recipients in person on May 23, 2005, during the annual session of Tel Aviv University's Board of Governors. This prize is intended to encourage dedication to science, originality and excellence by awarding outstanding young scientists.
